Still no river data being used it seems. In GIS we had a nice system were you just define data types bases on colours/tones and or traced in on a 2d map the landscape features which then you could translate to 3d quite easily.

Something i came out with by playing around with the environment settings in the demo  :) this happened accidentally when I turned all the atmospheric scattering sliders (or whatever they are called^^) down to zero. I was quite amazed - this is, what our sky would look like, once we got rid of our nice atmosphere... remembers me of the moon  ;)

Outerra Shenanigans

I'm not really sure if this is the right topic, but I made a silly video of me ramping the truck off the side of the Grand Canyon. It's also set to "The Final Countdown" by Europe for extra silliness!

My only regret is that Sony Vegas wouldn't render it in anything other than .wmv, so it's not very high quality.

I approve of this use of outerra. Now if only the center of gravity on the truck wasn't 75 feet below it. It might barrel roll correctly.

Check your render settings.  I use Vegas for my video editing, and have no issues rendering in 1080p.  Your Render As setting should be Sony AVC.  That'll put you in an mp4 as a file save, and have the necessary drop-downs for the resolution to get you the higher quality.
